I never planned on becoming “a writer.” I was just a woman in Michigan trying to make sense of a life that didn’t fit the picture-perfect Christian family story. Between navigating family estrangement, ministry, and everyday life, I discovered that putting words on a page helped me process what my mouth and mind couldn’t quite keep up with. Somewhere between early-morning journal entries and late-night brainstorming, I fell in love with writing as a way to sit with God, sort through the hard things, and speak hope into them.
For years, verbal communication was a real struggle because of a neurological disability. Conversations felt like traffic jams in my brain—thoughts piled up, but they couldn’t seem to merge into sentences. Writing became my unexpected cognitive therapy. On paper, I could finally slow down, find the right words, and say what my heart had been trying to communicate all along. It still makes me smile that the girl who once couldn’t get her words out is now writing books and blogs and showing up every week on a podcast and YouTube, talking about Jesus, healing, and the complicated beauty of family.
Now, I write for Christian women who are walking through painful places—especially around family estrangement, reconciliation, and identity—and are desperate to know that God has not forgotten them. Through my ministry, my blog, my books, and my podcasts and videos, I share biblical truth, real-life stories, and practical encouragement for women who need both empathy and direction. I see every script, blog post, and episode as one more way God redeems my former silence and turns it into a voice that points women back to Him.
On this site, you’ll find teaching and stories around family estrangement and reconciliation, resources to help you process your own story with God, and honest conversations about what it looks like to follow Jesus when your family life is anything but simple. My hope is that as you read, listen, and watch, you’ll feel less alone, more understood, and more anchored in God’s Word right where you are.

It is undoubtedly challenging in today’s culture to be a Christian. We are not expected to live perfect lives, but to live perfectly in God’s truth. While we are to pray for the sinner, our recourse is to declare our commitment to God, to draw a line in the sand and stand firm against the evils of sin. It is to stand in unity with God and with other godly women. Our recourse is to become leaders in our communities and our churches and to provide our children with examples of God’s love, redemption and salvation. Our strength is in God. Our strength is in the unity of God’s Word. We must stand against the deceit of Satan, whose sole mission is to separate us from God. It is a choice. The choice begins with you
